These molecules are learning aids for teaching the building blocks of life, sugars and carbohydrates. These models come in both single and dual extrusion editions, and include the monosaccharides glucose, fructose and galactose as well as the disaccharides lactose, sucrose and maltose. Great for explaining why some sugar tests work and why an extra hydrolosis (adding water and heating) step is required for disaccharides to break them apart.
